I Found Her.

Thunder and rain.
so calming,  some people would say, but yet, It didn't seem to calm her.

None at all.

The girl sighed, softly shaking her head as she stared out the window, it was past midnight. The only thing that could be heard in the house was the rain, hitting the windows. She sighed, looking around the dark room, the only light was from the lit candle on the desk next to her. She shivered slightly, suddenly feeling a bit strange, as if someone was watching her.  A shook her head, 'Don't be silly now..I'm probably just tired.' She thought to herself, before sitting down on the soft bed. Pulling her hair out of the messy bun, She suddenly heard the door to her room open, looking over at the door, She saw a figure of a little girl standing there, tiredly rubbing her red eyes, holding onto her favorite blanket.

A smiled some to herself, but a part of her couldn't help but feel..somewhat upset.

"Sky, What are you doing awake?..It's past your bedtime.." A frowned, Fixing her hair  some before getting up, walking over and bending down in front of the red haired kid. The 5 year old  sniffled some as she looked up at A, Hugging her blanket tightly. "I-I couldn't sleep..thanks t-to the thunder.." She said, her voice being as quiet as a whisper, but still enough to hear.  A sighed yet again as she softly picked Sky up, holding her close as she walked out of her room, walking down the empty hallway, and down to Sky's room.

Sky shivered as she nuzzled her face into A's shoulder, her tiny arms wrapped around the older lady's neck, Her eyelids feeling heavier than ever. Softly moving her head to look at the little girl, A sighed as she softly rubbed Sky's back, making her fall asleep.

Softly putting her down on the bed, A pulled the covers over her, before stepping back a bit, watching the now sleeping girl.

"So young and so weak, Even though, you're not like others. You, my dear, will grow up to become a strong and brave woman..I just know it." She silently said, before softly shaking her head, turning and walking out of the room, lightly shutting the door behind her. "It's so sad..That I probably wont be here to see it happen."

"Forgive me."

-~-

That was the last thing she said that day, the day she disappeared. I was only a little girl then, I didn't know much about the world, I didn't know how dangerous and..scary it was.

So how could I have known what would happen to her?

After she left, or disappeared, It was only me and my uncle left.  Three years after that day, That was the day I, accepted that she was really gone, and she wouldn't come back. But still, there was something about it that made it all feel wrong.  Why did she leave? Why didn't she take us with her? And why didn't she come back? Why did she leave me, She promised me that she would always keep me safe, so then, why did she leave?

-~-

"A! A?..Where are you?.." The little girl shouted at the empty house, it was morning, her uncle was outside in the town,  working like always, but..Where was A? Where could she  have gone? Sky frowned, looking down at the wooden floor, She had searched the whole house various times, even outside in the garden, but A was nowhere to be seen.  A would always leave a note or so if she ever went out, but there was no note..And no A. It was only her, all alone in the house.

-~-

After I finally had accepted that A was gone, I wanted answers, Answers on all my questions about A's disappearance.

But, Would I ever  find the answer I wanted? And would it even be the right one?

No one knew anything about what happened to A, Not even my uncle, So I had to figure it out on my own.

-~- Three years later, 8 years old.

Books and papers was sprawled out on the floor, as the 8 year old girl searched the drawers, cabinets, boxes, and much else in the room. What is the girl desperately searching for, you wonder? Well, something that could possibly help her find the answers to her questions, of course. Hopefully a note, letter, picture or anything else, something that could tell her more, about what she wanted to know. With no possible luck, she let out a exhausted sigh. Sitting down on the floor, softly rubbing her head. "Still no answers..nothing." She said out loud, as she looked around the room, to make sure she had searched through everything in the attic.

Yep, She had searched through it all, but still, nothing to help her.

-~-

I spent my days in the attic, looking through everything in there, with no such luck, I decided to give up, even after searching the other rooms in the house, I still couldn't find anything.

The disappearance of A was still a mystery to me, Yet to be solved.

-~-

I didn't know what happened, or where she went, but now, I knew where she was.

Thunder and rain, So calming as ever, but even though, A had never been calmed down by it. It never did calm her. I would always ask her why, but she would just stare out the window, completely quiet, as if she couldn't speak at all, the only thing I would receive, was  her shaking her head.

And now? Did I get my answers? Not at all, But at last,

I found her..

I sighed as I held the umbrella over me, it was a rainy day, perfect for the scenery, I would say. Looking down at the tombstone in front of me, I couldn't help but frown, staring at the flowers laying by it. Looking at the name, I smiled, just for a bit..' Annabelle A Lizette..Huh?..You never really liked your name..So you would always call yourself A..'.
I softly shook my head as I turned away and started to walk down the path, away from her, away from the truth.

I found her..
But not the way I wanted to.
So, This is something I came up with, in an hour or so, just writing something down, Just a small idea that came into my mind, I really liked how this one turned out. Better than anyone else I've ever done, I would say.

The song that inspired me to do it, And was kinda playing under the whole time writing this, was this:www.youtube.com/watch?v=kXFSw-…

Life's Misfortune;set upon by a shock and tremble of the eyes as one witnesses the entropy of life's tales. We as individuals search for a narrow path through the broadness of life. We cannot understand fate, yet we can persevere through the darkness with one step at a time.

I enjoyed this, it is reflective of the realities that we all face from time to time.
